Another Great weekend in Hendersonvile N.C.

July 20th, 2008

One of the local residanets said this cabin is 200 years old. Yes the quality of these photos leaves a lot to be desired.

I went looking for a road. It turned out to be a gravel road, so on to other roads in the area.

The ubiquitous photo from the Blue Ridge Parkway. :D

Well I have taken a few short overnight trips on the Monster. My wife and I rode the Yamaha to N.C. for the usual “1st weekend in May” long weekend, no pictures though. I guess we like riding more than stopping to take photos, but I digress.

Well today I rode up U.S. 321 to Clover S.C. then on 49 to Charlotte N.C. for a “look see” at the BMW-Ducati of Charlotte dealer. For the return trip to Columbia, I rode U.S. 21. Here a couple of pics of Clover, with its small town charm.

Labor Day Weekend 2007

Once again we spent a long weekend in Hendersonville N.C. We never get tired of the area!

Short Weekend in Hendersonville

August 7th, 2007

This past weekend I rode the S2R to Hendersonville. My wife, a friend of ours, and three dogs followed me on the trip.

Another trip to Hendersonville, July 4th

July 9th, 2007

I drove the bike to work and left at quitting time on Tuesday the 3rd. We spent two great days on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thursday was a short ride to Mount Mitchell and back. Saturday was a trip from H’ville to Boone N.C. for lunch/dinner. For the return we rode up Hwy 421 and took Hwy 67 to Johnson City TN. We then caught the “new” part of I-26 back into N.C. This part of I-26 is nice. The traffic is light and not a lot of on/off ramps. The area it is in is somewhat remote.
